Yogurt, along with most other dairy and cheese, is not recommended on the 4 hour diet. This is because dairy tends to exhibit an unusually high insulin response and can lead to weight gain.
Unless you’re on one of the weight gain programs that allow dairy, you should avoid eating yogurt.
I exercise regularly in the morning and have been advised I should eat something small before I do. I have been using a no fat low carb protein formula mixed with water but I’m unsure whether this is truly eating something small. I’ve been toying with having a small bit of natural yogurt instead as this will be easier to stomach than an egg. I’d be keen to get your thoughts on this. Cheers
In general, yogurt along with most all dairy products is not really recommended on the 4 hour body diet. The key thing is to make sure to get 30 grams of protein as soon as possible after waking up. This can come from a protein shake as a last resort but eggs usually lead to really good results. I would really recommend trying eggs for a few weeks and see what happens.
Is greek yogurt allowed it has high protein and 0 fat
I am wi=wondering the same thing.about the greek yogart..
Yes, Greek yogurt is allowed in small portions as discussed in the “damage control” section i believe. Its about increasing the good bacteria in the gut. Make sure its not got any added sugars though! I’ve lost 20lbs on this diet, without even following it strictly. Dropped from 24% body fat to 15% – in 4 months. Follow the slow carb diet, and remember Tim says to adapt it to your own specific needs. Good luck peeps
