Is fruit allowed on the 4 hour body diet?

Fruit is not allowed on the 4 hour diet, except for cheat day.  Most fruits have lots of carbs/natural sugars, so it is not recommended for the 6 days of the week where you are on the diet.

Is yogurt allowed on the 4 hour body diet?

Yogurt, along with most other dairy and cheese, is not recommended on the 4 hour diet.  This is because dairy tends to exhibit an unusually high insulin response and can lead to weight gain.

Unless you’re on one of the weight gain programs that allow dairy, you should avoid eating yogurt.

What type of eggs are allowed on the 4 hour body diet?

I find eggs to be key to success on the 4 hour diet.  As Tim mentions in the book, eating breakfast is key to kicking off your metabolism.

You have lots of freedom to experiment with eggs, I usually stick to:

- omelettes

- fried eggs

- scrambled eggs

- hard boiled eggs

However, other forms of eggs should be fine.  I go for lots of ground black pepper and occasionally white truffle salt but I try to avoid using cheese when I eat my eggs in the morning.

There are some good egg recipes here:

Are nuts allowed on the 4 hour body diet?

Nuts are not the ideal food for the 4 hour diet given their high number of calories.  However, they can be better than the alternative if you’re stuck without any other options.

Personally, I eat a handful of peanuts and cashews a few days a week at work when I get really desperate for a snack or if I have to skip lunch due to a busy schedule.  This hasn’t seemed to cause any issues with getting good results.

I am very deliberate about only allowing myself a small portion though.

If you’re eating nuts on the 4 hour diet please comment to let us know how it’s worked out for you.

Is Caesar salad allowed on the 4 hour body diet?

The ingredients in Caesar salad dressing aren’t really too bad, and shouldn’t cause a major issue on the 4 hour diet.

However, you’ll want to make sure to:

- get a dressing without sugar added if possible

- don’t put croutons on your salad

- avoid (or at least limit) the amount of parmesan cheese on your salad

Is feta cheese allowed on the 4 hour body diet?

Technically, cheese is not recommended on the 4 hour diet, including feta cheese.

I’ve heard from readers that using limited quantities of feta cheese is OK as long as you limit the quantity and frequency.  Please comment if you’ve had different results.

What about the 4 hour body Chipotle diet?

I eat fajita ingredients all the time (grilled chicken, sauteed veggies, black beans, salsa etc) and it seems to work fine.  So getting a fajita bowl at Chipotle is a great option, as mentioned in the book.

The things I’d recommend avoiding are:

- rice

- cheese

- sour cream

Tim mentioned in the book that success is possible on the Chipotle diet even with cheese included, but cheese is likely to slow down your diet results.

Is chili allowed on the 4 hour body diet?

Yes, chili is allowed on the 4 hour diet.  The ingredients (meat, beans, and vegetables) are all allowed.  You can’t eat crackers, cornbread, or potatoes with it though.

Cheese and sour cream are technically not recommended on the diet.  Eating your chili with a little bit won’t hurt you too bad, but it may slow down your weight loss.  Choose accordingly.
